TO BE RESCHEDULED: Join Us on Friday, February 20, 2015 for AFP Texas Day at the Capitol!
From Mike Hasson, AFP Texas State Director: This week, the 84th Texas Legislative Session begins. Americans for Prosperity Texas has been working in support of economic freedom policies for many years, and this session should be the session where our issues receive significant support. A grassroots organization is only as powerful as the commitment and energy of its members. We are all in this together.
Together, we will support free market policies which include property tax reform, margins tax reform, education reform and school choice, and fighting protectionist occupational licensing laws that hinder entrepreneurship and job creation!
I would like to invite you join us in Austin and be a part of our AFP Texas Day at the Capitol on Friday, February 20th. This event promises to be both a rally and a valuable training day for our activists.
AFP Texas Day at the Capitol will feature illustrious speakers from our new state leadership, practical activist training, and scheduled meetings with your own Senator and Representative.
Please RSVP here if you would like to receive more information. Buses/rooms/free tickets available here through EventBrite.

Americans for Prosperity – Texas
Americans for Prosperity – Texas (AFP-TX) is committed to educating citizens about economic policy and mobilizing those citizens as advocates in the public policy process. AFP is an organization of grassroots leaders who engage citizens in the name of limited government and free markets on the local, state, and federal levels. AFP grassroots activists advocate for public policies that champion the principles of entrepreneurship and fiscal and regulatory restraint. To that end, AFP supports:
- Cutting taxes and government spending in order to halt the encroachment of government in the economic lives of citizens by fighting proposed tax increases and pointing out evidence of waste, fraud, and abuse.
- Removing unnecessary barriers to entrepreneurship and opportunity by sparking citizen involvement early in the regulatory process in order to reduce red tape.
- Restoring fairness to our judicial system.
